We and Chris Green  have been working together for 5 years. In that time we've released many notable singles such as “Like Yo” and “Party Crashers”.  We also have released two full projects; “The Puzzle EP” and “The Leftovers”. Here we have joined forces again to release "BREATHE". The EP contains 10 tracks entirely produced by us The Quarter Inch Kings, and mixed by PhameOne. The project's production is parallel to that of the 90’s Boom Bap era, but executed with a modern flare. The content of the material varies also from the overly cocky “Just Know” to the very conceptual “Question My Blackness”; in other words there is something for everyone. If you are a fan of our previous work you'll be able to appreciate the our ability to grow, but at the same time  how we've stayed true to our roots. If you’re a first time listener and consider yourself to be a fan of hip hop this is a guaranteed addition to your collection.

Gearing up for the final tape of the M.I.C. Series (Vol. 7) TopLeft Recordings has decided to release dj packs for some of the songs that will be featured on the tape. The first of these is Puzzle's "Not The One" and after being featured on several of the M.I.C. Series projects (Vol. 1 / Vol. 2 / Vol. 6) he makes his fourth appearance which is produced by The Quarter Inch Kings. Only fitting since The Quarter Inch Kings have worked with TopLeft Recordings for the entire M.I.C. series and also been long time collaborators with Puzzle (Chris Green). We've combined again to bring our distinctive boom bap sound with Puzz's melodic flows, and punch lines to the tape. Five Steez - Rebel Music Remix by The Quarter Inch Kings

Hailing from Kingston, Jamaica emcee Five Steez has recently released a remix EP of songs found on his debut album titled "War for Peace". The 6 song project titled "War For Peace The Remix EP" came about through a combination of factors. First having multiple versions of the song "Growing Pains"

and secondly producer Zitro reaching out about remixing "Yard Ni**a Rap" and the rest was history. Production is handled by Zitro, Theory, Inztinkz, Dj MTM, DavidEnco and The Quarter Inch Kings. The Quarter Inch Kings produced "Rebel Music" remix (Rebel Remix) which has a seperate Dj pack download which includes Street, Clean, and Instrumental versions (link below). We were honored when we were approached to master this project; considering we are longtime fans of Citizen Kane. Thanks to TopLeft Recordings, and especially to Citizen Kane for deciding to release this and to let people hear these timeless songs. ""Scartown Unreleased Classics" is a collection of songs we recorded from the years 2001 to 2005 which was never released. At that time when Citizen Kane was on the verge on making a major impact in the underground Hip Hop community world wide, but we were confronted with obstacles from the music industry that believed we were a little to “Street” and not friendly enough for Canadian radio. Refusing to follow the commercial sound that was becoming more popular at the time, we recorded melodic tracks with hard but poetic lyrics staying true the griddy style of music that made Citizen Kane unique. There is two albums worth of material in this album which is mixed by D.J. Law and appearances from Peep Sho, Califaith, Stitch 7 and many more artists we were working with at the time. The production is from Big Sproxx, Down to Earth, Product, Dungenetics and Lost Info. There are also tracks that include R.P. who left the group at that time for personal reasons never to return putting the music on hold for a good time. If ya love Hip Hop in its purest and realest form, you will love this album. It is a piece of Canadian music history from a group that laid the foundation for Canadian Hip Hop today.
