Talksick's "Deja Vu" is the first single from the well known Toronto underground artist's debut LP titled "The Weapon". In the song The SARS Network and GFY representative describes how he feels about his life within music, and situations he's gone through that have happened repeatedly.
The visuals were done by Big Sproxx (Proletarian Music/Freedom Writers) and mixed by "The Pro Tools Bully" PhameOne. Due for
release later this fall the LP entirely produced by The Quarter Inch Kings will include features by Caution, TRA, Dj Grouch, Adam Bomb, and Sean P so be sure to keep an eye out. The dj pack below includes Clean, Instrumental, and Acapella.
After
being featured on M.I.C. Vol. 1, S.A.R.S. Network's Talksick, makes his second appearance
to the M.I.C. Series with his new single entitled “The Time Is Now” featuring Episode Ace Holla. Produced by The Quarter Inch Kings, the dj pack contains Street, Clean, Instrumental, and Acapella. This is the second single released by TopLeft Recordings leading up to the release of the final installment to the tapes. Keep on the look out for more singles dropping as the release of M.I.C. Vol 7 approaches. Also keep on the lookout for more Talksick as we get ready to drop his first solo LP "The Weapon". Stream and D/L link above twitter links below.
Gearing up for the final tape of the M.I.C. Series (Vol. 7) TopLeft Recordings has decided to release dj packs for some of the songs that will be featured on the tape. The first of these is Puzzle's "Not The One" and after being featured on several of the M.I.C. Series projects (Vol. 1
/ Vol. 2 / Vol. 6) he makes his fourth appearance which is produced by The Quarter Inch
Kings. Only fitting since The Quarter Inch Kings have worked with TopLeft Recordings for the entire M.I.C. series and also been long time collaborators with Puzzle (Chris Green). We've combined again to bring our distinctive
boom bap sound with Puzz's melodic flows, and punch lines to the tape. Also be
sure to download M.I.C Vol. 7 where Puzzle makes a second appearance on
the project! Not The One dj pack consists of a Street, Clean, Instrumental, and Acapella versions of the song (D/L link above). Keep a look out for M.I.C VOL 7 coming soon
It's been awhile since we've posted anything because we've been hard at work finishing up Talksick's debut LP "The Weapon". I'm not gonna get into a whole big bio/intro for him, but if you've ever heard of Empire or The S.A.R.S. Network chances are you've heard him before. Hell if you've been following us you definitely have. He appeared on Puzzle's "The Puzzle EP", Caution's "Welcome To The Smoke Show" LP, and on "Not Yet Rated" Puzzle & Paradox's LP. and as we get ready to release the first single "Deja Vu" from "The Weapon" we figured we'd get you all re-acquainted or acquainted with Talksick over some Quarter Inch Kings backdrops. All three of these joints were mixed by "The Pro Tools Bully" PhameOne. All links below; and keep your eyes and ears open for Deja Vu. The Weapon is coming...
"Party

So we start June off with FenaxiZ's White Man's Burden ft Joshua
Lopez (Jlatte). FenaxiZ has been putting in mad work releasing at least a video a month since Jan 2012 all leading up to the release of his full length release titled "Vintage". Not only has he been pushing himself but also doing work within his group Team Us which will also be releasing a project in the later part of the year; keep an eye out. Big thanks to Joshua Lopez for his work on the guitar track and to Minerva Group with the great work on the vid. Below is the official write up followed by all necessary links for those involved.
"Every June 12, Filipinos across the globe commemorate their
homeland’s declaration of independence from Spanish occupation in 1898.
Amidst the lumpia, tinikling dances, and street parades, FenaxiZ humbly entreats his kasamas worldwide to pause for a moment of
reflection and acknowledge a past mired with bloodshed, subjugation, and
resistance.
Borrowing its title from the Rudyard Kipling poem about the
Filipino-American war, “White Man’s Burden” is a critical analysis of
the widespread effects that imperialism has wreaked upon a 7000-island
archipelago once known as “The Pearl Of The Orient.” From a Labour
Export Policy that seperates parents from children to the internalized
racism that fuels identity issues of the youth, FenaxiZ covers many
pressing issues that today’s Filipinos face; yet, he is also aware of
the incomplete picture he paints as he muses, “and this rap ain’t even
scratching the surface of our collective experience.”
The song was produced by The Quarter Inch Kings and features Joshua
“JLatte” Lopez on guitar. The video was directed and edited by Minerva Group. More info about the video’s inspiration after the jump… along with the video itself, of course!"

We were honored when we were approached to master this project;
considering we are longtime fans of Citizen Kane. Thanks to TopLeft Recordings,
and especially to Citizen Kane for deciding to release this and to let
people hear these timeless songs. Below is the official write up for the
project as well as the download, and twitter links. Turn up the volume and enjoy.
""Scartown Unreleased Classics" is a collection of songs we recorded from the years 2001 to 2005 which was never released. At that time when Citizen Kane
was on the verge on making a major impact in the underground Hip Hop
community world wide, but we were confronted with obstacles from the
music industry that believed we were a little to “Street” and not
friendly enough for Canadian radio. Refusing to follow the commercial
sound that was becoming more popular at the time, we recorded melodic
tracks with hard but poetic lyrics staying true the griddy style of
music that made Citizen Kane unique. There is two albums worth of material in this album which is mixed by D.J. Law and appearances from Peep Sho, Califaith, Stitch 7 and many more artists we were working with at the time. The production is from Big Sproxx, Down to Earth, Product, Dungenetics and Lost Info. There are also tracks that include R.P.
who left the group at that time for personal reasons never to return
putting the music on hold for a good time. If ya love Hip Hop in its
purest and realest form, you will love this album. It is a piece of
Canadian music history from a group that laid the foundation for
Canadian Hip Hop today. This is the album they never wanted you to hear.
– Citizen Kane "
So here it is, the video for Caution's "On The Corner" ft DJ Grouch. In the video Caution takes you to the “Corner” as he makes his rounds across the city of Toronto and hits up the ScratchLab the infamous head quarters of DJ Grouch. The video is directed by Lyme Lyte and is the first official video from
"Welcome to the Smoke Show" album which is set for release April 20th.

So here is a next joint from The SARS Network's Caution ft DJ Grouch on the cuts (I gotta really thank him for blessing the track much appreciated,)and "The Pro Tools Bully" PhameOne on the mix. "On The Corner" is the first single from Caution's debut album "Welcome To The Smoke Show" being released 4/20/12 all the production being handled by us. In the song, he explains his life "On The Corner" and describes what he has seen. The street is very important
to the roots of an underground artist so Caution is paying homage to
that fact. Below is a download link for the DJ Pack containing street, clean, instrumental, and acapella for all the producers and DJ's out there. There is a video for this coming soon by Lyme Lyte so keep your eyes open for that. Be sure to check the links below to follow, and check the SARS Network's Bancamp page for more from their camp.
